It would be nice to say that I had read up on all the new cars in the Consumer Report before deciding on the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu 1LT but that is not exactly true. I had been checking 'on-line' all the different features of several models with the intent of purchasing a vehicle in 2012. We decided not to wait and called Shari Miller, General Sales Manager, saying we wanted to purchase another car, stating our price range. One must have confidence in a car dealership when all you have to do is give them a call and let them do the work for you.

I was not looking for any special features, only a basic car to get us from here-to-there and one that we could afford. Honestly, the only thing I explained was, "We need a car that my husband can easily get in an out of due to his health issues plus, one that will hold his walker."

Shari and Cindy May, Sales Consultant, did an excellent job in picking out the Malibu 1LT for us. The Malibu fits us like a glove. It is all that we wanted in a car and more: safety, automatic crash response, anti-lock brakes, 33 MPG hwy .face it folks with today's gasoline prices it is wonderful to have a fuel-efficient vehicle that meets your budget. We are delighted with all the special features. I feel like a kid at Christmas every time I get into my car because I discover another new feature.

The day we took possession of our Malibu I commented to my husband that I was absolutely stunned and figured within 24 hours Cindy was going to call to inform me that I had to bring the car back. Whew, thank goodness that did not happen. It was all I could do to keep from grabbing my pillow and blanket and camp out in the Malibu the first night we brought it home.

Cindy has walked me through many of cars' features and is helping me to understand how they work. Best of all she has even agreed to program in all our telephone numbers with OnStar. The remote keyless entry has worked wonders because I can help Don into the car, store his walker and pop the trunk so the clerk can put the groceries away for me.

With all the health issues we are dealing with at this stage in our lives, I feel very fortunate to have OnStar even though that was not on my list. The only thing it does not do is make me coffee. However, OnStar will direct me to the closest coffee shop in our neighborhood if I asked it too.

The engine is so quiet; a few times Don has asked, "Is the engine on?"

One of Don's favorite features is our new XM Radio. He has already found "Station XM82 Classic Radio" [Old Time Radio]. At the touch of a button we will be enjoying "Fibber McGee and Molly, The Loan Ranger, Ma Perkins, Sky King, and The Shadow" for a very long time.

We both want to say "Thank you" to the Fredericktown Chevrolet Dealership for helping to make our dream become a reality.
